Laser treatment for brown spots uses targeted light to break down excess melanin in the skin. Pigment Laser for Facial Brown Spots (Patient 1)
Sunspots, brown spots, and freckles are direct results of chronic sun damage. This patient underwent one laser treatment with our pigment laser. You can see her skin is much clearer. Of note is that her skin looks tighter and less wrinkled as well. The after image shows a more uniform tone on the cheeks and forehead, with the scattered pigmented spots noticeably faded. Outcomes like this reflect what pigment-targeted laser energy can do for sun-damaged facial skin. Each patient is evaluated for the right device and treatment plan during the initial visit at our office.
CO2 Laser DPN Removal on the Cheek (Patient 2)
This patient underwent CO2 laser treatment for the DPNs (dermatosis papulosis nigra). These brown spots are genetic and are often found in patients with a genetic link to the Caribbean islands. This result is only after one session with this our state of the art CO2 laser. The after image shows the cheek and temple area with the small dark papules cleared. The skin tone reads as even along the treated zones. Results like this represent what careful CO2 settings can do for darker skin types when matched to the lesion. Treating DPNs effectively in skin of color requires both device experience and an understanding of pigmentation behavior.
Hand Age Spot Removal with Pigment Laser (Patient 3)
Brown spots on hands, also referred to as lentigos, sun spots, brown spots, and age spots are easily treatable with our pigment laser. This patient had a beautiful response with one session of our state of the art pigment laser. These results are very typical and reproducible from patient to patient. The after image shows the back of the hand with significantly faded pigmentation and a more uniform skin tone. Hands are a common area where age spots and sun damage become visible. Pigment laser remains one of the most effective tools we use for this kind of discoloration.
Alexandrite Laser Treatment for Cheek Melasma (Patient 4)
A diffuse, mottled brown patch along the lateral cheek shows the irregular borders typical of melasma. The after image reveals lighter pigment with a more uniform skin tone in the treated area. Melasma can recur with sun exposure or hormonal triggers, so treatment is paired with daily sun protection. Outcomes shown here reflect what is achievable when the laser settings are matched to the depth and pattern of pigment.
Q-Switched Laser Removal of Cheek Lentigos (Patient 5)
This is a lovely 65-year old woman with a few year history of these brown spots on her cheek. These are often referred to as age spots, liver spots, sunspots. Medically we call them lentigos. We were able to clear this with one session of our pigment laser. The before and after are two weeks apart. The after photo shows the cheek with the lentigos cleared and a smoother skin tone in the treated area. Sun spots like these respond well to pigment-targeted laser when the right wavelength is selected for the lesion depth.
Brown Spot Treatment on the Cheek (Patient 6)
The after image shows the cheek with most of the visible brown spots cleared. The skin tone is more even where the pigment had been concentrated. Q-switched Alex laser energy targets melanin selectively without damaging surrounding tissue. Brown spots from cumulative sun exposure tend to clear well when the laser settings are matched to the lesion. The result here illustrates the kind of pigment clearing this approach can produce.
Freckle Removal with Q-Switched Alex Laser (Patient 7)
The contrast between the freckle-dotted nose and cheeks beforehand and the clearer skin afterward is striking. A Q-switched pulse breaks up the surface pigment without disturbing the surrounding skin. Freckles tend to recur with sun exposure. Daily SPF and shade are part of any plan to keep results stable. The treatment is generally well tolerated and limited to short downtime.
