Tear trough filler restores lost volume in the hollow beneath the eyes. A soft hyaluronic acid gel smooths the groove from the inner corner toward the cheek. It softens shadows that make the face look fatigued. Many patients seek it for tired eyes, under eye bags, and dark circles. The area looks rested and refreshed without surgery or downtime.
Dr. Rokhsar is a national trainer for Allergan, Galderma, and Merz. He pairs tear trough correction with a non-surgical eyelift when patients want added lift. Others choose dermal fillers placed elsewhere on the face. Some come to us first for dark under eye circle treatment. The results below were treated at our New York City and Long Island practices.
Tear Trough Filler for Under Eye Hollows (Patient 1)

Beneath both eyes, a hollow tear trough created a tired, shadowed look. The groove ran from the inner corner toward the upper cheek. In the after image, the under eye area appears fuller and smoother. The shadow has lifted and the surface blends evenly into the cheek. The treated region looks rested without any pulled or overfilled appearance.
Under Eye Filler Smoothing the Tear Trough (Patient 2)

The after image shows a smoother under eye contour with the hollow filled. The tear trough that once cast a shadow now blends gently into the cheek. Earlier, the sunken groove gave the eyes a fatigued look. Now the lower lid appears rested and the surface sits flush with surrounding skin.
Restoring Under Eye Volume with Tear Trough Filler (Patient 3)

A puffy under eye bag sat above a dark, sunken hollow on this front facing view. The contrast between the swelling and the shadow made the eyes look heavy. After filler, the hollow is supported and the bag looks less pronounced. The under eye region reads smoother and the dark cast has softened.
Smoothing a Hollow Tear Trough with Filler (Patient 4)

For a deep groove paired with a dark circle, filler offered a direct way to restore volume. Adding support under the eye lifts the shadow that pigment alone cannot fix. The after image shows the hollow filled and the surface smoothed. The dark tone looks lighter once the depression no longer casts a shadow.
Brightening the Under Eye Area with Tear Trough Filler (Patient 5)

The difference between the sunken trough before and the smooth contour after shows how volume changes the eye area. Light eyes had drawn attention to the hollow and the fine lines along it. With the groove filled, the lower lid looks fuller and the crepey texture is less visible. The eyes appear brighter and more awake.
Softening Under Eye Shadows with Tear Trough Filler (Patient 6)

Along the lower eyelid, a shadowed trough ran beneath light colored eyes. The groove pulled darkness into the under eye and aged the area. After treatment, the shadow has softened and the contour looks more even. Some redness appears on the cheeks in the after view, while the tear trough itself reads smoother and supported.
Filling a Deep Tear Trough Hollow (Patient 7)

The after image shows a corrected under eye hollow that no longer holds a deep shadow. Before, a pronounced dark circle sat within a deep groove. The filled contour now reflects light more evenly and the area looks brighter. The lower lid sits flush with the cheek and appears refreshed.
Refreshing Tired Under Eyes with Filler (Patient 8)

A conservative filler placement smoothed a mild groove without overcorrecting the area. The before view showed light puffiness and a shallow tear trough. Afterward, the under eye looks refreshed and the contour is even. A faint flush appears on the cheek in the after image, while the trough itself reads softer and supported.
Correcting Under Eye Hollowing with Tear Trough Filler (Patient 9)

An indented tear trough cast a steady shadow beneath both eyes. The hollow gave the face a worn, fatigued look in the before view. After filler, the groove is supported and the shadow has lifted. The under eye region reads smoother and more even. The eyes look more open, brighter, and rested in the after view.
Treating Under Eye Bags and Dark Circles with Filler (Patient 10)

Set against the before view, the after image shows fuller, brighter under eyes on deeper skin. Heavy bags and dark circles had weighed down the lower lids. With the trough filled, the bags look reduced and the dark tone has lifted. The under eye area appears smoother and the overall expression looks more awake.
