Non-Surgical Skin Tightening in New York

Firmer Skin Without Surgery Or Long Recovery

Non-surgical skin tightening in Manhattan treats mild to moderate loose skin on the face, jawline, neck, abdomen, arms, thighs, and knees. We also treat early jowls, crepey skin, and laxity after aging, sun exposure, pregnancy, or weight loss. The right treatment depends on where your skin is loose and how much tightening you need.

At New York Cosmetic, Skin & Laser Surgery Center, we offer ThermiTight, Ulthera, Fraxel, and CO2 laser resurfacing. Each skin tightening treatment delivers controlled energy at a different tissue depth. Radiofrequency, ultrasound, and laser energy heat collagen fibers, causing contraction while stimulating new collagen and elastin production during the months that follow.

Your visit starts with an examination of skin thickness, laxity, facial structure, fat, and treatment goals. Ulthera is fully non-invasive. ThermiTight uses a thin radiofrequency probe beneath numbed skin for deeper heating. Fraxel and CO2 lasers are useful when laxity occurs with wrinkles, sun damage, or crepey texture. Dr. Rokhsar selects the treatment based on your anatomy and desired result.

Laser Expertise For Natural Skin Tightening Results

Dr. Cameron Rokhsar, MD, FAAD, FAACS, is double board-certified in dermatology and micrographic dermatologic surgery. He is fellowship-trained in laser and MOHS surgery and founded New York Cosmetic, Skin & Laser Surgery Center in 2005. He has extensive experience with skin tightening in NYC using laser, radiofrequency, and ultrasound technologies.

Dr. Rokhsar graduated from Harvard College and NYU School of Medicine. He completed dermatology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and fellowship training under laser surgeon Dr. Richard Fitzpatrick. He serves as Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he teaches cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Rokhsar was involved in the development of Fraxel technology and research involving Ulthera and ThermiTight. He was also among the early physicians using these technologies. Our Manhattan center offers more than 40 lasers and energy-based devices. This range lets Dr. Rokhsar match treatment depth and energy source to your specific type of skin laxity.

Good candidates have mild to moderate loose skin and want improvement without a facelift, neck lift, or tummy tuck. Severe hanging skin may respond better to surgery. Dr. Rokhsar performs these procedures himself after evaluating whether skin, fat, muscle, or volume loss is causing the concern. Our Manhattan facility is Quad A accredited for patient safety and quality of care.

How Long Does Non-Surgical Skin Tightening Last?

Results from non-surgical skin tightening in NYC appear gradually because collagen remodeling continues after treatment. Some patients notice early firmness within several weeks. More visible lifting and tightening commonly develops during the following two to three months. The timing varies with the device, treatment depth, treatment area, age, and baseline degree of laxity.

ThermiTight results can last three to five years for many patients. Ulthera results often last about one to two years. Aging continues after treatment, so results are not permanent. Genetics, weight changes, smoking, sun exposure, and skin quality also affect longevity. Dr. Rokhsar may recommend maintenance treatment when laxity begins to return.

Depending on your anatomy, results may include a cleaner jawline, softer jowls, firmer neck skin, tighter abdominal skin, or improved laxity on the arms and thighs. Laser treatments can also improve wrinkles and crepey texture. Our goal is visible improvement without an artificial or overly pulled appearance. You can review our non-surgical skin tightening before and after photographs during your consultation.

Non-Surgical Skin Tightening Downtime or Side Effects

Downtime depends on your non-surgical skin tightening treatment. Ulthera does not injure the skin surface, so there is no medical downtime. Most patients return to normal activities the same day. Temporary redness, swelling, tingling, or tenderness can occur. Some patients notice tenderness along the jawline when touching the area for several days.

ThermiTight requires a short recovery because a thin radiofrequency probe is placed beneath numbed skin. Patients typically wear compression for the first 48 hours and then at night for several additional days. Swelling, bruising, or soreness can last one to two weeks. Many patients use little or no pain medication after treatment.

Laser-based tightening has different recovery based on treatment depth. Fraxel Restore usually causes less redness, swelling, and peeling than fractional CO2 resurfacing and often requires several sessions. CO2 laser treatment has more downtime but may produce stronger improvement in wrinkles, crepey texture, and facial skin firmness. Dr. Rokhsar reviews your expected recovery and aftercare before treatment.

New York Non-Surgical Skin Tightening FAQs

What is the best non-surgical procedure for neck tightening in Manhattan?
There is no single treatment that fits every neck. For mild laxity, Dr. Rokhsar may recommend Ulthera. ThermiTight can provide stronger tightening when laxity is more pronounced because radiofrequency energy is delivered beneath the skin. CO2 laser may be selected when loose skin occurs with wrinkles or crepey texture. Your anatomy determines the treatment.
Ulthera is a non-invasive skin tightening treatment that delivers focused ultrasound through the skin. It works well for mild to moderate laxity of the jawline, chin, and neck. ThermiTight places radiofrequency energy beneath numbed skin and can create stronger contraction for moderate laxity. ThermiTight also requires more recovery than Ulthera.
Yes. ThermiTight can treat moderate loose abdominal skin after weight loss or pregnancy. A small probe delivers radiofrequency energy beneath numbed skin while tissue temperature is monitored. It does not remove large amounts of hanging skin or repair separated abdominal muscles. Patients with substantial excess skin may be better candidates for surgical evaluation.
The number depends on the technology and your degree of laxity. Many patients undergo one ThermiTight or Ulthera treatment. Fraxel Restore often requires several sessions because each treatment addresses fractional areas of skin with less recovery. Fractional CO2 resurfacing can create stronger resurfacing and tightening in fewer sessions, but it involves more downtime.
Look for a board-certified dermatologist with experience using several energy technologies rather than one device. Dr. Rokhsar is fellowship-trained in laser surgery and was involved in research and development involving Fraxel, Ulthera, and ThermiTight. He performs treatments at our Manhattan office at 121 East 60th Street and selects the device after examining your skin and anatomy.
