COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Dear Valued Patients,

During these tough times, I want to make sure that you know I along with my staff will keep both offices in Manhattan and Garden City open to attend to your needs. When I became a doctor, I took an oath. I take this oath seriously and will continue to serve you.

I want to tell you about the steps we are taking to minimize all our collective exposure to the Wuhan Covid-19 infection.

  1. I along with all my staff members are wearing N-95 respirators during your visit.
  2. We scrub down the rooms and door handles with Clorox Wipes in between every patient room visit.
  3. We wear eye protective gear during procedures.
  4. My staff has been well instructed to frequently wash hands and use hand sanitizers.

These are the steps I ask you to take to protect yourself and other fellow patients from the Wuhan Covid-19 infection.

  1. If you have history of travel to any foreign country in the past month, please do not visit our office. Please self quarantine for two weeks as this can be the incubation period.
  2. If you have not been to our office in the past 12 months, please fill out your Patient Forms at home and bring them in with you. You may also email them to Frontdesk of fax to 516-512-7617. There is no reason to do this in the waiting room at our offices as this increases exposure time to other patients.
  3. Once you have checked in, and if our office is busy, we encourage you to leave the office to wait in your car or outside until we call you on your cell phone. This step is in line with the principle of social distancing.

Please remember…the major danger of this infection is overwhelming our hospitals. Please exercise your social responsibility to protect our health care system and ultimately yourself by taking appropriate social distancing measures.

Sincerely,

Cameron Rokhsar, MD FAAD
