Celebrities Who Use Botox for Sweating and Wrinkles Treatment

Facial fillers and Botox injections are incredibly popular in Hollywood because they are a great way to shave years off your face without going under the knife. Morning talk show host, Kelly Ripa, has been using Botox to control underarm sweating, but recently she has decided to use Botox for some facial touch ups, specifically around the eyes.

“Every seven months or so my eyelid skin rests on my eyelashes. So I feel like it makes my makeup artist’s life easier, and it makes my eyes look a little more open on TV, which is where I happen to work right now,” Ripa said.

Botox is an injection primarily composed of botulinum toxin, a naturally occurring purified neurotoxin which is used to erase unwanted lines of aging around the eyes, infamously known as crow’s feet. Botox cuts off the connection from certain neurons that control the micromuscular movement in the face. This will not stop your facial muscles from moving, but instead stop unnecessary muscle contractions that are caused from everyday activities such as squinting, smiling, frowning and focusing.  The repetitive expressions results in fine lines and wrinkles, which overtime begin to sag and turn into deeper and harder to treat wrinkles.

It’s hard to believe the age-reversing substance known as Botox has been erasing wrinkles and fine lines for more than a decade. You can expect to see results within days after your treatment. The appearance of the area between your brows may continue to improve for up to a week. By day 30 in a patient clinical study, 89% of patients judged the severity of their frown lines between their brows as moderate or better.
